Who: GGSKS is running the contest. Anyone can enter. GGSKS production and coaching staff are judges.
What: The 2011 GGSKS Video Contest. Strap on your helmet cams and record some sick footage from the weekend. Then go home and spend the next 7 days editing one awesome video down to 4 minutes or less. Easy, right? The video that best captures the overall vibe of the weekend will be voted the winner. Footage can include anything – landscapes, interviews, action shots, time lapse, etc. Get creative with this. The winner of the contest will receive an awesome prize package and have their video featured on the ggsks.com homepage.
Where: Videos will be viewed online at ggsks.com and at facebook.com/ggsks.
When: Contestants must submit their videos by February 27. Judges will view the videos and vote on a winner by March 6, 2011.
Why: Because it’s fun. This video contest is a chance to show the online community how awesome sea paddling is and how great the West Coast paddling scene can be.
How: Contestants will have from February 15-20 to capture original footage for their video. Contestants must submit their video link to admin@ggsks.com by February 27, 2011 at 11:59pm PST. Between February 28th and March 6th, videos can be viewed online. Judges will choose a winner on March 6, 2011.
Rules:
1) No purchase necessary. 2) Video footage must be original and from this event. Don’t try to sneak in some footage from last summer’s Alaska trip. 3) The video must be edited down to four minutes or less. 4) All content must be legal and ethical. 5) All videos must be submitted by February 27, 2011 at 11:59pm PST. 6) One submission per person. 7) By submitting a video and entering the contest, the contestant acknowledges they have full ownership rights of the video.
